The unit on time was quite interesting, especially researching different aspects and notions of time. Painting the same scene at different times of the day, which from memory in very little time, was a challenge and if I remember correctly I may have taken more time (puns intended) than I was supposed to! The beauty of online! Then followed more resolved work, 3 paintings of a scene at different times of the day, I think it had to be one that meant something or you spent a fair bit of time in or something like that. At the bottom of our garden in Sheffield, we often stop on our rounds with our dog Connor and try to spot the Platypus in the dam, so I chose to paint that scene.
I may have exaggerated the colours in the third one.
A notion of Place is something that I am particularly interested in, of course Uni made it more of a challenge and we had to come up with 10 different images using Google Earth images of 'our place' which we then had to resolve into more refined works. These were my favourites.
A friend so liked the really colourful one that I painted one of her 'place' for her birthday.
